tnx
If say I have two hard drives, a slave and a master, and I back everything up to the slave drive, and then select my master as the main hard drive to install win 7 to, I know the master will get formatted but will my other slave hard drive too?
@patrickpl94 Only the drive you select will get formatted. Hope this helps.
@EvilDestroyerTR Ok thanks alot. I thought id have to unplug my second hard drive lol
@patrickpl94 Oh, one more thing, disconnect your slave drive from the computer. It won’t become formatted but do it anyways so your computer does not confuse what drive to boot up. Once you have successfully installed Windows7 reconnect your slave drive and retrieve your backed up files.
@EvilDestroyerTR Oh ok, I will, thanks. One more question though, I got the systems bulider 64-bit OEM version of windows 7 from newegg to put on my computer that has vista on it. Will it work just like the upgrade? I’m know the Oem version doesn’t have the upgrade option, but I figured I don’t need it since I’m going from a 32-bit to a 64-bit system anyways.
@patrickpl94 It should work as an upgrade, or you can go with a custom fresh install. It is really up to you. As long as you have your files backed up, you’ll be fine.
When I back-up my files can I put it back to my computer again? Please answer me quickly.
@videokillerknight I’m sure you’ve found out by now, but when you back up your files on an external device such as a flash drive, external hard drive, or disk, you can easily put them back on. Once you have your computer ready to add the backed-up data on, you just insert your back-up device after installing any software that came with it, select computer from the start menu, and you should see the device under hard disk drives or “devices with external storage”. It will not be named as disk C.
i thought that this would have stuff i didnt know, but it was still a good video
