Nice video man keep up the good work!
Nice video. The re-caculate works fine on my 3GS. I’m thinking the app is not designed / tested for your set up.
Actually, this video was shot with the GPSSerial v1.1. The re-calculation of routes now works fine with GPSSerial v1.2 as well
can u comment on how fast it will drain the battery on an ipod touch using the unit without being plugged in to a power source? Why does it have a battery when it is using the power from the ipod touch?
If you start with a fully charged iPhone/iPod battery, it will last for about 3hrs with the screen on all the time. The battery inside of the module is only a memory back-up battery for storing satellite data.
I want one of these. But I wonder if it costs extra to ship to Australia. Keep up the good wok
Just visit the Orange Gadgets website and click on the FAQ for shipping questions.
does this work on ipod touch? cos it ant got 3g…
Yes it does. You will need the iGPS360 module from Orange Gadgets.
Update to GPSSerial v1.3
The direction problem is also solved
Very Helpful.

@krikbestplayer34 You can use any of the major navigation apps like Navigon or TomTom, Sygic, Magellna, etc.

@krikbestplayer34 Correct. The module receives the GPS signal from satellites and the maps are stored on the iPod.
